1. My New Year’s Challenge
2011/Things: Asian Am 187C
Preserving Community Through Cultural Performance: Pilipino Cultural Night Experience.
This was the most worthwhile course I took this past quarter.  It was on a subject that although I have been a part of for a few years already, I still learned a lot about.  Plus it was also one of the funniest classes i’ve taken…so many inside jokes!
The people in this class were amazing as well.

  2. My New Year’s Challenge

    2011/Things: Summer @ Disneyland

This being my last summer vacation before I officially graduate UCLA I really wanted this summer to be something special.  Disneyland with these folks helped to make it one of my most memorable summers yet.  There’s a different feel to at the park during the summer time the smiles seem so much brighter and the laughs a lot more genuine and it honestly made me sad knowing that my summer at Disneyland was coming to a close back in September.  But these are a few of my many favorite memories at Disneyland this summer.  I loved going through these pictures, every picture reminded me of all the laughs, fun, and camaraderie from this past summer and it was very difficult to choose just 10.

Although I didn’t get to travel like I had hoped this summer (no funds to accomplish this) one day I will…until then I’ll just go to Disneyland.

  3. My New Year’s Challenge

    2011/Things: PTSP Spring Retreat

Another event I have very few pictures of my own but I still have very fond memories regardless.  I remember this retreat being around the same time spring quarter craziness was starting and it was definitely something I had been looking forward to.

Aside from being a much-needed break it was also a great opportunity to bond with/get to know everyone who was there.

  4. My New Year’s Challenge

    2011/Things: Disneyland Annual Pass

This year I decided that I would actually buy a Disney Pass.  Who would’ve guessed that one little (yet expensive) piece of plastic could help me make so many amazing memories.  I’ve definitely got my money’s worth out of this thing and then some, yet for some odd (yet amazing) reason Disneyland has yet to get old.  Although it was pricey, it was definitely worth it and I’ll be dreading the day my Disney Pass expires.  Oh and it definitely helps that so many of my friends & family members have one, Disneyland is infinitely times better when you go with people you love.

  5. My New Year’s Challenge

    2011/Things: Praise & Worship

These photos were taken at Newport Church’s Touching Heaven Worship Night (a place that I hope to go to more often).

This year has presented itself with it’s fair share of challenges but for those times when things get rough, Praise & Worship has this amazing ability to calm my heart and soothe my soul.

  6. My New Year’s Challenge
2011/Things: My Car
I took this picture at the 2nd day of the year, little did I know, it would become a point of view that I would be seeing a lot in 2011.  For some reason it felt that I drove this year more than I’ve ever driven before.  The mileage displayed in this photo has definitely increased by a lot and my car has definitely seen it’s fair share of LA and beyond.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely not complaining.  I love driving, which is probably why for the most part I’m always down to volunteer to drive.  I consider myself blessed to have a car that I can call my own and ever since I got it as a gift way back in 2007, I’ve always tried to essentially share it with my friends & family.  So if you ever find yourself needing a ride, don’t ever hesitate to ask me.
I love the fact that my car is filled with memories of adventures and even simple talks with some of the most amazing friends.  Here’s to making more memories behind the wheel this New Year.
